Harper Should be Held Accountable for the Actions of his Caucus.

The immature and vulgar behavior of Pierre Pollivere is a complete reflection on the kind of government that Stephen Harper is running. Harper encouraged this type of behavior as Leader of the Opposition, because it distracted the Liberals during Question Period and made for good news bytes. The problem now is that he is now in power, and the situation has gotten worse, not better. The same Stephen Harper demanded the ministerial resignations of Joe Volpe and Dennis Coderre for declaring their admiration for John Kerry, and called for Carolyn Parish to resign as an M.P. for stomping on a doll of George W. Bush. It looks as though Harper is more concerned with such a behavior as it relates to our southern neighbor, but even worse behavior is permitted within our own borders, let alone our sacred halls of democracy. Why doesn't Harper show some class, and strip Pollivere of his Parliamentary Secretary position? It is truly sad that our democratic system has been reduced to this obscene nature. How we long for a Parliament that shows dignity and respect for the people who elected it.

While I agree that this was absolutely disrespectful and the apology was inadequate, I'll stop short of agreeing with you for the amount of partisan rhetoric in your writeup.

I encourage you to check out an angry tory's take on the situation

Yawn.

Yes, what they did was wrong, however, hearing a Liberal like Graham talk about dignity when it was their Party that stole money from Canadians.......well, that just makes me laugh.

Next.

Double yawn.

Her Majesty's Official Opposition cannot hold the government of the day to account, "because they stole money". Try better next time buddy. If you guys keep bringing up the past then we might as well bring up the orgy of corruption that was the Mulroney Government, in which Mr. Nicholson, Mr. Casey and Mr. Turner were a part of, who are now back in the government. Seems ubsurd? Is John Tory allowed to hold the McGuinty Government to account, even though his party members received generous handouts from the sale of Hydro One for no work? Come on hit me with it, Liberals are crooks and thieves.

No, the truth doesn't hurt, it just kind of tickles.

Oh, I'm quite sure your Party will.

If you guys keep bringing up the past then we might as well bring up the orgy of corruption that was the Mulroney Government.

Feel free.

It would hardly be consistent of me, now would it?

Come on hit me with it, Liberals are crooks and thieves.

If the shoe fits.......

It's so nice to hear people complain about the liberals, yet when we try to do something, oh no!!! The corruption!!! Grow up, people. We will not stop our principles just because some guys were caught doing something bad.
