Come on Beer Drinkers

If anyone has not visited Rick Mercer's blog at http://rickmercer.blogspot.com/, I suggest they do. He has created an online petition www.beernotkids.com, in response to the Pro-conservative www.kidsnotbeer.com.

It is in no way anti-children, it just stands up for the rights of those who like to bend their elbow now and again.

The NDP is not perfect in this department either. When he was Ontario NDP leader, Bob Rae threatened to withdraw his party's support from then Ontario Premier, David Peterson, if he made the purchasing of beer available in corner stores. Ontario to this day is the most beer repressed jurisdiction next to Utah. "How come Brewer's Retail never has a sale, eh?" (Dave and Doug Mackenzie)

We have a battle on our hands. As this morning beernotchildren has a slim three digit lead over kidsnotbeer. Stand up for the rights of those who choose to sip, down, chug and shotgun a couple of cold ones.
